User Research
Survey
-
I distributed this questionnaire among men and women of all ages with different education levels and living in several countries to figure out people's willingness to buy online and also to get what habits people generally have concerning online shopping.
-
For instance, either they buy more from the website or the application while commuting or at home, etc.
- This application is related to Persian grocery stores in Europe, which is why many questionnaire questions have been distributed among Iranians living in Europe.
-
On the other hand, since this type of service exists in Iran to a large extent, this questionnaire was also filled out by people living in Iran so that we can get to know their point of view.
-
Finally, 97 people filled out this questionnaire, the results of which are below.
Interviews
-
Each of us thought about the possible interview questions and finalised the interview questions during a meeting for two hours and forty minutes
-
After that, I conducted a pilot test interview with a potential user and made minor changes with group consultations. It was applied in the text of some question
-
Each of us interviewed three of our potential users, and we had a total of 9 interviews, some of them face-to-face and others online via video call.
The most significant of users' requirements:
-
A map to find supermarkets near their area
-
Determining the working hours of supermarkets
-
Specifying the delivery times for the delivery of users' products
-
Collecting orders by users
-
The possibility of paying in cash and online
Card Sorting (IA)
-
Finally, I collected all the data, set it on sticky notes and made our affinity diagram.
Users requested to see these as categories:
-
Location
-
Our services
-
All categories
-
Deals and Best sellers
Persona
-
Based on user research and data collected from them, our persona was created with the name Melika.
Scenario
-
When Melika was at work, she said to herself, I wish I would finish my work earlier today so that I could go shopping for my home because we don't have anything to eat at home.
-
An idea came to her mind that I should call Negar because she has a car and can bring my purchases home with her car.
-
She called Negar, but she said, sorry I don't have time to come, but I have been doing my shopping with an online app for some time and I highly recommend you.
-
Melika was also happy and made her purchases with the app that night and was very satisfied and could spend the time she saved with her family.

What I have learned?
Although my first project was with my colleagues in the UX design profession, I learned notable valuable tips:
-
I got acquainted with several research methods and tried to commit to them.
-
At every moment of this project, I was encouraged to see the team members as close friends. To succeed in this team, I worked closely with them for a limited time.
-
In conclusion, I was privileged to do how to make a presentation along with the challenges and solve them.
Next Step
In the end, we decided to develop the app:
-
Firstly, expand the team according to vast project
-
Secondly, find a good sponsor
-
Finally, build and launch the app and the website
